Description

He has left the Tribes.

Basic Information:

Name: Tiago ["Tee-aye-go"]

Nick name(s): None

Kit name: Kage

Age: 12 moons [ 1 year ]

Gender: Male

Birth Season: Spring

Birthday: 10th September

Zodiac Sign: Virgo

Accessories: None

Scars: - Four scratch marks down his eye/cheek.

- A very slight split in the tip of his tongue.

Special Features: Two dividing stripes up his face. Six stripes on his tail, with only two connecting. V's at the tips of his ears. Usually the tips of his fangs stick out of his mouth.

Breed: Chausie x Siberian x Sokoke x Abyssinian x Maine Coon

Basic looks: Colouration: Kage's base colour is a deep ruddy red. He has creamy-white features that start at his mid-cheeks, down his muzzle, around the front of his neck, down his chest, right along his belly climbing halfway up before fading out and extending from his belly right down the bottom of his tail stopping just short of the tip. This creamy-white wraps around each of his paws, on the hind legs it goes up the back of his legs stopping on his haunches. At the front, it breaks off at the darker socks but continues on the inside to connect up at his chest. He has a darker, deep reddish-black which goes around in a 'collar' around his neck but stopping in the middle so that it doesn't actually meet up on either side. This colour runs down his spine only protruding out in five stripes down his body with two little stripes floating free. Continuing down his spine it runs down the top of his tail, going around in two stripes that meet up before branching out in four more stripes which progressively get smaller and do not connect together, it also tips his tail. On his front legs he has socks, stopping midway on his legs and not going over his white mittens. On his face, he has two large stripes either side of his cheeks which seem to stop the white, with one more little stripe just above his eyes on either side. Both of his ears are this solid colour, and he has two mirrored "arrowed" stripes with one little stripe in front on his forehead. To finish it up, he has this colour running along his nose to a very short inverted v up between his eyes and some of it on the backs of his eyes going up in half circles. The insides of his ears and his nose are a light reddish-pink. His eyes are a vibrant, bright golden yellow.

Body type: Kage is quite a large cat, although he hasn't quite grown into his body just yet. He has rather broad shoulders and a deep chest, although at the moment his legs are quite long and gangly. His hind legs are slightly longer than his front, giving him a almost slanted look. He has a fluffy tail with extra fluff around his neck, chest, belly, haunches and cheeks. His eyes are also quite large, giving him a younger appearance.

Is this a name? – You start to learn the meaning of true names and how to use them!

Seeing the soul – You can see the flow of energy through the body of other animals, what they refer to as their soul!

Control through the name 1 – Using your understanding of souls and names, you start to be able to control small animals and insects by commanding them with their true names! Requires a LOT of energy.

Understanding of emotions – By looking at the souls of other cats, you become able to vaguely detect how they are feeling.

Control through the name 2 – You start to be able to control medium sized animals using their true names! Requires a LOT of energy.

Meditation – You start to get a strict control over your own emotions, now being able to blend them out completely at will.

In your head – You become able to control the mood of another cat, and are capable of planting fear and sadness or whatever you desire in their mind as long as you stay concentrated upon them. Only works for a short time, and requires a LOT of energy.

Summoning of bones – You call upon the dead and summon an undead creature to your help, it can't be bigger than a fox however.

Personality:

[ Protective ] | [ Loyal ] | [ Laid-back ] | [ Charming ] | [ Vague ] | [ Self-sufficent ]

[ Protective ]

From his earlier days of watching over his younger brother, Kage has developed a deep need to protect those he deems worthy enough for his attention. Unfortunately once Kage thinks someone needs his protection, he will follow them around and keep them close to himself. He will spend all of his time watching over that someone and will warn off anyone who comes too close, just in case. Unless told to back off, he will keep up this sort of attention and will most likely take it as offensive if the cat tells him that he's being too protective. However it will take a lot for Kage to actually put someone into this category, requiring a lot of time to consider anyone above just another cat. This also transfers over to his beliefs, once he puts his heart into believing something, he will most likely defend it even if he's proved wrong. Thanks to watching over his brother when they were little, Kage also feels the need to protect those who're smaller than himself, usually kittens. If he sees kittens in trouble he'll always abandon whatever he's doing to go and help, feeling the urge to make sure they are safe.

[ Loyal ]

Tying in with his protective nature, Kage is devotedly loyal. He will put everything he has into something if it has been classed as worthy for him. Again, this will take a lot of time and effort to develop, since he puts his all into something he needs it to be something worth his while. But once he has, it's almost like an unbreakable contract with him. It would take something very drastic for the bond to be broken, even if he gets angry or annoyed at whatever it happens to be for a time, he will still never abandon that cause; and take time to sulk before either putting it behind him or more unlikely forgiving. Since it takes a lot for him to develop deep bonds, there are varying degrees of loyalty he can give out, mostly to build up into a serious loyalty.

[ Laid-back ]

Usually, this is one tom whose not really worried about too much and will proceed to hang around not doing too much either. Although he will go off and explore, he will not go off in earnest. Not much fazes this tom either, he's usually pretty relaxed about things unless it's about bullying for example. He doesn't mind letting someone else take charge and just doing his part in whatever plan is going ahead. This doesn't mean he is completely passive to what is going on, especially if he doesn't agree with it. He will also put effort into something if he is chosen to lead that particular thing. But usually he is a pretty easy going tom, happy to just go with the flow. There isn't too much that gets him riled either, except of course when it comes to someone he's formed a bond with. This could be attributed to his protective nature and growing up feeling the need to watch over his brother.

[ Charming ]

Although Kage hasn't really been around anyone apart from his family, with his easy going nature and protective streak he can be quite charming. Just coming natural to the tom, he doesn't lay on the charm when around others, but more goes with the flow of what is happening so it comes out without effort. Since he doesn't class anyone as too important unless they have grown a close bond, Kage isn't really too bothered to use his charm for anything other than slowly making new friends. His charm is probably better at getting along with others than being able to use it to manipulate or control them; he wouldn't be interested in doing this anyway. Although Kage is naturally charming, he can brood or sulk a lot, especially if someone he considers himself close with annoys or tells him something he doesn't really want to hear.

[ Vague ]

With his relaxed nature, Kage isn't really too big on going on and on about himself or what has happened to him in the past. He isn't really too great at explaining his feelings or what he's thinking either, finding it more trouble than it's worth and instead focuses on what the other has to say rather than going on about himself. Since he's easy going with plans, he's fine with just agreeing to do his part and going off to do it. He doesn't really need a whole lot of instruction to understand things either, being able to take simple clues or hints to be able to complete tasks. Sometimes he can be a bit too vague with others, especially if he's explaining things as he'll expect others to be able to figure things out as easily as he does.

[ Self-sufficent ]

Despite forming very close bonds with others, Kage isn't really one for being reliant on others. He is very much self-reliant, able to go about his life without too much interaction from others. This could be one of the reasons he wasn't too enthused with the prospect of joining the Tribes in the first place. Being able to take care of himself without the help of others, he won't usually go to anyone for help. Kage is happy enough to do things for others, as long as it's not too time consuming or requiring a lot of effort. Kage will hardly ever ask for someone else for help, preferring to rely on himself for things which usually works out just fine.

Brief back story:

Gem had lived on her own for awhile, after leaving home to find her own way in life. For a short time she had tried to find her mothers sister, Kalila, despite never having meet her aunty before. There were more times than she could count when her mother spoke of her sister, having lost touch with her many years ago. Unfortunately she never found the she-cat. Instead, she meet a different she-cat, Jamie. The two seemed to hit it off right away, deciding to stay together for safety and out of a new found friendship. Jamie wasn't a particularly large she-cat and seemed to be slightly weak at times, which made their friendship even closer as they took care of each other. Traveling together for over a year, the pair finally settled into a small crop of trees that they claimed as their own territory. Comfortable for many moons, the she-cats found their small home invaded by a wayward tom cat. Gem ran him off many times, but somewhere between running him off the two started talking. Slowly but surely the two formed a friendship which blossomed into a romance. Scoria wasn't willing to let Gem slip through his paws as he came every day to speak with her. Ironically, during the time they were spending together Jamie had her own romance going. Although they remained friends, the two friends were spending less and less time together until one day they both decided it was time to go their separate ways with their mates.

It wasn't too long after settling into their new territory that Gem found herself round with kittens. Excited with the prospect of becoming a mother, the she-cat flourished in her new role. As her pregnancy progressed she relied more heavily on her mate to provide food, which he had no problem with. Finally the time came for the kittens to arrive, during the night Gem started into her labour. When the warm Winter sunlight lit up the morning, two wiggling bodies were pressed up against her belly. Round and healthy with life, they were two little males. Unfortunately there was one little body that lay near the entrance of the den, unmoving and small. The pair gave a sorrowful goodbye to their daughter before Scoria took her body to bury her in the earth. Naming them Lava and Comet, the pair were happy with their sons. Focusing on the two healthy kittens that remained, the loss of their third kitten soon fell away. The little family settled into a comfortable routine. During this time, Gem found herself missing her close friend and with luck of the Spirits the two came together again. Showing off her two sons, Gem couldn't have been happier. Of course the reunion didn't last too long but the pair promised to make more frequent visits to see each other.

Months passed as the kittens grew, both boys were as boisterous as each other. The little toms were always up to no good, play fighting and escaping off into the woods on their own. With this Winter being much like an early Spring, the she-cat soon found herself growing round with pregnancy once again. As her pregnancy progressed, Gem meet up with her friend again. Both were amazed to see the other growing plumper, Jamie with her first litter, Gem with her second. Unfortunately however, Gem noticed something off about her friend. Inviting the pair to stay for a short time, Gem only grew more concerned as she seen how sick her friend had become. When it came time for Jamie and Sean to leave, Gem asked if they would like to stay with her and Scoria. However, Jamie politely refused, saying that she would be fine especially when they got back home and she could settle into her nest again. Saying a painful goodbye, Gem had a bad feeling growing in the pit of her stomach as she watched her friend go.

Despite her fear for her friend, Gem found herself breezing through another pregnancy. Both of her kittens were excited with the prospect of having little brothers to pick on. Nearing the end of her pregnancy, Scoria took over the role of looking after the older kittens while his mate groaned waiting for her kittens to come. It took a lot longer for these kittens to want to come out, going past the time when they were due to arrive. When she did finally go into labour, it was quick and painful. Just as before, there was a little kitten who didn't take a breath in this world. Her little body lay growing cold, while her brother mewled for their mothers milk. Again, the pair mourned the loss of a second daughter but Gem was more focused on her healthy little son. Once his litter mate was buried next to their lost sister, the pair decided to name him Kage. The little kitten flourished, although whenever Gem looked away for even a second he was being rolled around by his older brothers. It didn't take too long before he protested loudly and they would be caught red handed.

The families happy times were interrupted one day, just as Gem had been thinking of her best friend a familiar cat arrive. Hanging from his jaws was one tiny kitten, looking near death. Concerned, Gem ushered them in as she took the little kitten to her belly to warm him with her milk. Tearful, his father, Sean explained of how his mate had died during his birth. It had taken him time to be able to leave his mates body. When he remembered seeing Gem pregnant, he had decided to see if she would take care of his son. Of course Gem agreed right away, Scoria also agreed to keep the young kitten. With two little kittens at her belly now, Kage soon came to accept the warmth of Cameron to be his sibling. Unfortunately however, the two older kittens didn't take to the foreign tom as easily as their younger brother. Whenever they got the chance, they did as they did with Kage, except their actions were a lot less kind.

As the family progressed, Scoria and Sean kept all of them feed, while Gem watched over the youngsters. However as the kittens grew and she began leaving them to play together, Lava and Comet began picking on Cameron. Having been young enough not to remember the time before Cameron's warmth was beside him, Kage grew defiant of his older brothers. Quickly, he began to defend his brother from his older siblings. With Cameron being much smaller and weaker thanks to his start in life, Kage figured that it was his job to watch over him. There were many occasions that Kage would be looking for his brother only to find him being tortured by Lava and Comet. He would quickly puff up and charge his older brothers who would only laugh but leave them alone. It also didn't help that Cameron looked more like a she-cat than a tom, and thanks to all her daughters leaving the world before they'd entered it, Gem treated him much like one.

Growing older, the two kittens soon found weird markings on their coats. Curious, they asked their parents about them. Since Gem had grown up away from the Tribes, she had no idea. But both Scoria and Sean had combined knowledge which put together could describe the Tribes. Kage wasn't overly concerned when they learned about the cats living together as he had his family right there. However he could see the curiosity growing in his brother as Cameron often examined his dull tattoo.

Although a lot of time passed since they had initially received their tattoos, Cameron finally decided that he wanted to go and explore them, to see what they were like. Of course Kage wasn't too pleased, telling him that he was much too little and wouldn't be able to protect himself on such a journey. This only angered Cameron, who was sick of having to be protected by Kage. Growling at his brother, the littler tom ran off into the woods by himself. Unable to leave his brother to brave the wilds on his own, Kage follows him but stayed deliberately behind so that he wouldn't notice being followed. Watching over his brother for many nights, he debated showing himself until one day Cameron ran into another cat. Unsure what set it off, the other cat began attacking his brother. Angered, Kage immediately ran in to protect him, pushing Cameron out of the way as the other cat swiped at him. Getting his face caught by the other cats claws, he felt blood dribbling down his face as he stood up against the other cat. Despite the two cats being younger, the attacking cat didn't fancy taking on two cats rather than just the one so it decided to retreat. Smiling at his brother, Kage reminded him that they were much better off being together, rather than separate.

Traveling together now, the toms arrived in the Tribe lands, but initially they decided that they wanted to observe them instead of going straight in. They spent a lot of time just living around the outskirts of the Tribes, watching them. Kage wasn't really too interested in joining, especially since he knew that he was going to be in a different Tribe than his brother, just because his 'tattoo' sat on his mouth instead of his forehead and chest. Unfortunately for him, Cameron was far more curious and went to search for the Tribe that he would be living in if they joined. Upon being found by a couple of Light Tribers, Cameron was taken into Light Tribe where he was accepted. Once Kage found out what had happened, he was more than just angry at his brother. Yelling at him for doing such a stupid thing, he told him that if he was more interested in being with these strangers than him, then he should just stay with them. Storming off, Kage went to live on his own around the Tribes. Staying deliberately away from Light Tribe, he soon found the Tribe he was destined to join. He spent days skirting around their territory, watching. Finally, angry enough that Cameron wanted to join his stupid Tribe away from him, Kage went into Shadow Tribe. Being accepted into Shadow Tribe, he was dubbed Tiago.

[ Yellow-Air | Seraphiel | The Stepping Stones ]

As he moved, the tom tried to ignore the relieved expression on the she-cats face, was she glad he'd moved away from her? He'd missed the tension held in her shoulders when he'd spoken of Air Tribe. If he hadn't, he would have seen easily that she was more thankful she hadn't wandered into someone else's territory. Trying to ignore the surprised look on her face that came when he'd pressed his muzzle up against her cheek, the tom felt a struggle to keep the smile on his maw. The thought of her rejecting him, of telling him how she'd moved on from loving him and was leaving again threatened to leave him broken. However when she spoke he found himself distracted. For a second he had thought she was referring to the nuzzle he'd given to her, before reality crashed down on him that she was only answering to his earlier words. Trying to cover himself, he gave a small nod. ”Only for a moment. I couldn't find myself able to disturb you when you looked so happy,” he meowed honestly, keeping the fact it had elated his heart to himself. She didn't need to be swayed either way, not now.

Having retreated away from her, should she find his touch offensive, he wasn't prepared when she moved back to his side and pushed her nose gently to his own. In that moment it was like the invisible cloak of weight that had been dragging him down since that fateful night lifted. Once more the smile springing to his muzzle was one of pure joy. Closing his eyes, the tom took in the familiar scent that was the silver she-cat. With a cheeky grin, he opened up his eyes before giving her nose a slight lick. Moving away from her the silver tabby moved to brush his shoulder up against her own, pressing his weight onto her side. For so long he'd ached to do this, to feel her body pressed to his own. To be safe in the knowledge she was right there beside him, alive.

He could almost taste the happiness she radiated as she spoke of her powers. No matter how she felt towards the Spirits, he always knew she loved the powers she had been blessed with. ”There is always roam for improvement. I'm not sure how deep your abilities for Water Tribe are, but I think even the leaders are always learning. You looked pretty sure on your paws running over the water though,” he meowed, half teasing at the end. He didn't really know she leaned heavily towards one side of her skills. In fact, he wasn't aware of it himself but he too had a preference to his own powers. Conjuring lightning, unable to help himself the tom was drawn to this power although he had given a lot of concentration to his wind abilities too.

Giving her ear a small nudge, the tom moved away to stand in front of her again, feeling the loss of her heat against him as if he'd just ripped off all his fur. Flicking his tail, the tom stretched out his paws, flexing his claws till there was small holes in the earth beneath him. ”I seen a lot of the Tribes techniques amidst the battle with the caimans. Although there wasn't much time to study them, with the scaly creatures everywhere. I have gotten to see the other side to Water Tribes however, when I meet an Orange-Water who could move around objects using her tattoo,” he informed her. He found both sides to their powers quite fascinating, his deep rooted curiosity never sated.

You-” he was about to tell her to move away from him when the she-cat did just that. Whirling around on lithe paws, she quickly made the leap up onto some of the stones which were piled up. It was obvious to anyone why this place had been dubbed Stepping Stones. Padding up to the lower one, he used his powerful hind legs to push him up onto a large stone on leap below the she-cat. It gave him a lot more room and kept her away. With lightning, there was nothing wrong with being very careful. After all stray folks could easily be drawn to a curious on looker. Looking up at her, the tom smiled. He didn't notice that she crossed her legs over, it was something he wasn't aware he did nearly every time he lay down. ”Stay where you are, from there you should be able to see good enough. But with something as fickle as lightning, well, you're safer at a distance,” he instructed should she have any ideas of coming down to get a closer look.

Taking a deep breath, the tom looked up into the pretty amber eyes he loved so. Without much thought to it, his tattoo flicked into life. Immediately patterns began to run up the back of his neck, up his ears and down his face to stop just under his eyes. What once was orange was now glowing yellow, the various patterns seeming to have a glow about them. The skeletal wings at his back and shoulders though had no different pattern, lit up even in the light of day. Focusing his powers, the tom willed the air around him to crack, to give up the ingredients needed to summon lightning. Wrapping around his legs, it sparked as long folks whipped up and down from long strands. As his claws slipped out of his paws, the too were engulfed. But instead of long stripes of lightning, a bright yellow light over took them almost looking as if his claws were on fire. The intense concentration of lightning here was incredibly dangerous. So far this had only been used against caiman. However the tom wasn't done yet, letting the blades which covered his claws fade he summoned the breeze which had been still around them. Picking up a small pebble from the top of the stone he was standing on, it suddenly burst into brilliant yellow. Looking very much like what his claws had recently been, it was covered in lightning. Moving it slightly forwards he let it die out and drop to the ground. ”Depending on the terrain, it can be used to throw at an opponent,” he explained though he hardly thought it was needed. Rolling his shoulders the yellow markings suddenly began to recede, as if called back to the wings on his backs as his tattoo dulled back to meld into his fur. ”I've yet to completely master this ability and I've yet to be able to conjure the lightning to my back claws.”
